This steak is perfect for crockpot meals, Swiss Steak and stews. However, we have found that the tenderness that comes from our stock has allowed us to throw this cut on the grill. The Tenderized Round Steaks is a thinly sliced cut and then tenderized. Ideal for recipes that are made in the oven or crockpot with a marinade, gravy or a variety of soups that are used for cooking.
Tenderized Round Steak is a very lean and thinly sliced cut. It is not common to get a tender enough cut that would perform well on the grill. With that said, we are confident in our stock to declare grilling as an option. Please keep in mind the steak will cook much faster then a traditional grilling steak because of the thin nature of the cut AND the leanness of the meat. To ensure the flavor from this cut, we would recommend a medium doneness.

  • This product comes in a vacuum-sealed package. This keeps moisture from compromising the beef and keeps the product fresher for longer. It also prevents freezer burn much better vs a traditional butcher paper wrap.

Marbling - One of the main attributes in steaks that attributes to your eating experience. Marbling is the white flecks of intramuscular fat inside the steak. This fat is an unsaturated type of fat. Having the right amount of marbling is key in giving a steak a great flavor, juiciness and tenderness. As the steak heats up, the marbling breaks down and releases its juiciness into the steak.
