A Ribeye Steak will typically range from a 10 ounces to 14 ounces per steak compared to a 6 ounce average on the Fillet Mignon.
Ribeyes great combination of traits allow the novice griller to try his or her hand at perfection. The marbling and size allow for mistakes to occur without catastrophic consequences. The marbling breaks down adding extra moisture to the steak and the size insulates that flavor.
